Additionally, I have written or contributed material to over 200 press releases and articles; have written and developed over 100 training scripts, lesson plans, and courses in the corporate and post-secondary education sectors; and have written over 400 pieces of marketing material. 
     

  • I am currently writing a handbook for mature students based, in part, on my experiences as a mature student and as an advocate for adult learning.
     

  • I am also researching pioneering American nuclear physicist Robert Jemison Van de Graaff for his biography.

Plays

 

  • The Prodigal Father.

    • 1st Prize, Kent Haworth Playwriting Competition, 2006, York University.

    • Plot: A young couple explores emotions and life stories about the man's estranged father following his funeral - which they had crashed earlier that day.

    • Performed as a staged reading at The Samuel Beckett Theatre, Stong College in 2007.

    • Performed from March 12-15, 2008, Vanier College Productions produced my short play The Prodigal Father as a fully-staged play in their One Act Play Festival in the Fred Thury Theatre at York University. The 4-day festival featured four short plays by YorkU students. Play director: Joel Pettigrew.

 

  • Fire Burial.

    • 1st Prize (co-winner), Kent Haworth Playwriting Competition, 2007, York University.

    • Performed as a staged reading at The Samuel Beckett Theatre, Stong College in 2008.

 

  • Grim Business.

    • 2nd Prize, Kent Haworth Playwriting Competition, 2008, York University.

    • Plot: Before the Occupy Movement and before the collapse of Wall Street and the global economy in 2008, this play tells the story of society fighting back and putting those who got away with it on trial.

    • Performed from April 29-30, 2009. Vanier College Productions produced my short play Grim Business as a fully-staged play in their One Act Play Festival in the Fred Thury Theatre at York University. The 3-day festival (to May 1st) featured five short plays performed in the style of old-time radio dramas. No sets, no pre-recorded sounds. VCP director and festival coordinator: Guy Doucette. Profiled in the April 27, 2009, yFile: "Radio 10 Live Festival brings back the magic of radio theatre."

 

  • The Tesla Chronicles.

    • 1st Prize, Kent Haworth Playwriting Competition, 2009, York University.

    • Plot. Inventor and scientist Nikola Tesla's last day of life in his New York City apartment. A light-hearted reflection on his life and work as told in conversations with ghosts of his younger self.

    • Performed as a staged reading at the Words Alive Literary Festival on 20 September 2009.

  • The Atomic Lunchbox.

    • An unproduced play exploring the building of a nuclear fallout shelter near the Ontario Legislature at Queen's Park, Toronto, in the 1950s.
